Wyatt...Water and Cattle...

I just wanted to share a few pictures of Wyatt and I at Ukiah, Oregon.

It was so much fun to be able to sneak in a weekend together !!

After having so much fun together... it was "real hard" to leave him back at the trainer's.

As you can see he is becoming such a hard working and trusting companion. :-)

I'm getting anxious for another fun weekend...hopefully the middle of August.

I'm learning how to use some new picture software and I'm having a hard time uploading both collages that I have made to the same post...so that is why you will have to view 2 about the same subject and weekend. Sorry !!

Turn Back Horse and Rider...

Here are some pictures of Steve and Twister in Action !!

They made a great team !! Twister has really been digging all the cattle action !!

Nina and company really appreciated "all" their help and long hours in the cutting pen.

One day they both worked 12 long hours !! I sure have some tough guy's !!

Nina is the one in the upper left hand corner working one of her colts.

I think I forgot to mention in my earlier post that she is Wyatt's horse trainer.

He is coming along great and I will share in one of my next posts in a couple of days.

Thanks for staying tuned in !!Posted by Picasa

Ukiah Oregon Cutting Practice...

Our horse trainer Nina invited us to a cutting practice in Ukiah, Oregon.

Here are some of the fun shots of our 4 days in Ukiah!!

They had to bring is separate herds of cattle off the range and across the road every day. All the cutters love to have really fresh cattle to practice with.

It was a beautiful place to ride our horses and help out our Trainer. :-)

We even had a couple passing by from Ohio and wanted to know what Steve and the guy's were doing. Steve thought it was pretty obvious that they were bringing the cattle across the road. Steve is so polite and explained what they were doing...then the Ohio couple got really excited...said they have never seen "REAL COWBOY'S" herd cattle before!! Then they asked can we stay and watch??? Who knew that we would be entertaining a couple from Ohio out in the middle of Oregon !!Posted by Picasa
